‘Housing costs accelerating ‘great wealth transfer’’

– Higher housing costs and affordability pressures have accelerated the great wealth transfer, with clients increasingly looking to pass on money during their lifetimes, according to advisers. Paul Denley, chief executive at Oakham Wealth Management, said clients were “recognising that money is worth more to a child at 35 than at 65”.  When it came to how the money was used, Denley said “house deposits still dominate, followed by school fees and childcare.”
